Why I Created Admission Lens

I believe education is transformational.

As a professional who has spent my entire education and career in higher education, and as an MBA candidate at UCLA Anderson, I want to ensure that families and students who have worked incredibly hard have the support they need to have a successful college application process.

After years of evaluating applications and making admission decisions at highly selective institutions, and then working firsthand as an admission consultant and college coach with more than 1,000 families, I created Admission Lens because I saw a common challenge among students interested in STEM.

These students have relentlessly worked on projects, pursued their curiosity about how things work, and challenged themselves academically.

Yet many struggle to understand how to tell their story and communicate their genuine interest in STEM.

It is not about telling the reader that you love STEM. It is about showing them.

What I Bring to Students

Admission Experience

Experience Working With Families

Experience With STEM Students

I have evaluated applications and made admission decisions at highly selective institutions, including Caltech and Harvey Mudd College.

I know what it means to read an application from the admission side and evaluate not only what a student has accomplished, but how the application communicates who that student is.

Through my previous work as an admission consultant and college coach, I have worked with more than 1,000 families.

This experience has given me a deep understanding of how personal and complex the college application process can be.

I have worked with students pursuing engineering and other STEM fields, including students who were admitted to UCLA, USC Engineering, Purdue Engineering, and the University of Washington Engineering through my previous admission consulting work.

I bring that experience to Admission Lens while recognizing that every student has a different story and a different path.
